Sabrina Washington – Hit it Hard
Everyone has
heard of Mis-Teeq, the RnB girl group formed in the late 90s, who had huge
success nationally and globally. Many people will also know of Alesha Dixon,
one part of the super trio and judge on talent show, Strictly Come Dancing.
However, not so many people will know of Sabrina Washington and the new arsenal
of solo material the singer is bringing crashing towards us. With the group set
to reform later this year, all three members have been busy creating solo
albums.
The new
single by Sabrina Washington pulsates with potential, throbs with malice and
shakes with hidden power. The formula is a simple yet deadly combination.
Washington has rapidly and adeptly loosed a stampede of vocals perfect for pop
and dance tunes alike and then combined these vocals with a lightning bolt
paced synth. The production plummets through a hybrid capitalization of tumbling drum n
bass that then fraternises and clashes its way onto a rocketing set of synths.
The song is breathtakingly
fast, making it perfect to play while driving a Lamborghini at full speed. Like
a supercar it is bold, fast, streamlined, astonishing and most of all –
perfect. Washington’s vocals flow over mountainous climaxes, pound across
production plains and thunder through resounding tunnels that meld into the
final package.
This is a pop
song from the future.
