Invaders of Nine – Don’t Go

Invaders of Nine are a Welsh duo made up of Danny Evo and Mark Sherwood who have set up their own label, Bass Rebel Recordings. The duo produce their own music as well as doing mash ups and remixes, which can be found on their Soundcloud. Their production style is in some ways similar to the sound of Hospital Records and Don’t Go contains similar characteristics to that found in songs by High Contrast, Camo & Krooked, Netsky and Jack Beats. The passionate vocals then deliver a classic uplifting tempo.

Despite only producing together for a few years, the standard of the material being made by Dan and Mark is highly professional and would sound most at home on the radio. None of the sounds are put to waste with the punchy drum beat providing the structure, the main synths creating the addictive mind blender, the violins summoning an epic and unique taste and the vocals and secondary synths giving it that fine finish. The skilful combining of strange alien noises, clear violins and DnB synths are the main aspects that embody the unique selling point of Invaders of Nine, which as long as not overused, are a powerful weapon.

The mishmash, magic box of sounds generates a formidable mixture of heavy dubstep, classic violins, bouncy quirky sounds and military drum beats, to release a musically literate entity that echoes across a wide spectrum. Don’t Go is impossible to criticise and contains all the elements required to make a high quality song, equalling or bettering some of the material being produced by those signed to Hospital Records. With Jay Robinson and Switch Fusion being bagged for remixing duty the fun does not look set to stop for this duo.
