Skyfall is the follow up EP from new DnB talent Invaders of Nine. The release, which comes courtesy of their label ION Records, packs an otherworldly punch and breaths emotional tenor.
Stargaze immediately jumps out as a favourite for late night listening. The opening fills the room with a soft lonely ambience dimly glittering in the darkness but this silence is soon invaded by the alien sci-fi melodies and gutsy bass that always make the duo so different. The tone of the bass is sharper than in their previous work, drilling down to the foundations, neatly weaving the breaks and drops, smoothly taking us through the transition.
Stargaze then runs fluently into Radio 1 approved Take Me Away, providing a slight key change that deepens the dense bass even further. The middle of the track shakes away some of its shape as the duo let the track discharge its energy, only to take control again for the finale, pushing the track even harder to create a lingering and remote conclusion.

Once again, this
EP shows Invaders of Nine’s rapidly maturing abilities, brimming with
characteristic style but now coming with new found depth.
