One Republic – If I Lose Myself

If I Lose Myself is the second single from alternative band One Republic’s forthcoming album Native, which is due for release on March 25th. This new single breaths a huge gust of energy into the music scene, drawing on their skill and experience and broadcasting a unique, spirited song.
Lead singer Ryan Tedder’s enthusiastic yet soulful vocals race through the track, eclipsed only by the triumphant melodies we meet at the song’s apex as Tedder’s vocals delve into a prolific swirling mass of instruments. Despite being predominantly an alternative rock band, the harmonious blend of instruments consorting with an invigoratingly ingenious visual display, permeate into an overwhelmingly feel-good track. This reaches a climax, making the world spin and the prospect of staying still becomes an immediate impossibility.
This absolutely euphoric mêlée brings a breaking dawn of Spring-like life to the world, with perfectly on-point guitar strums summoning the soft touch of a Summer night. Earnest vocals escort a crisp Autumn morning onto the stage and as the experience draws to a close, solemn croonings cocoon us in a numb Winter, and swirling snowflakes easing us towards calm emotional closure.

  1. I am so delighted they are still making music and they in fact has another album yet to be released. I will definitely check out all the tracks in it, hoping that most of them if not really all would be in the same line of musicality as this one. This new One Republic track is really distinguishable from their classics especially the swirling mass of instruments as pointed out clearly in this review. Great review!! :)
