Brookes Brothers ft Chrom3 - Carry Me On

Carry Me On is the new single from DnB duo Brookes Brothers and follows the duo’s last charismatic production, Loveline. This new stomper of a track is more robust than the brother’s previous work and sees them significantly step-up their game. The track also features Dizzee Rascal collaborator, Chrom3, on vocal duties.

The tune kicks-off with a clean and simple drum-beat, integrated with a classy acoustic guitar and a sleek vocal courtesy of Chrom3. Enthusiastic trumpets and plummeting snares then follow, unleashing the songs crushing power. Once the floodgates have opened there is an avalanche of fast and furious bass, which scorches along at a breakneck speed like a box of fireworks. All the while, Chrom3 compliments this raging onslaught with a captivating chorus. During a lull in the middle of the bass packed assault an extra rap keeps the intensity of the tune flowing.

Brookes Brother have taken a more conventional pop structure and applied it to their characteristic Drum & Bass sound, successfully sculpting a more musically versatile and breath-taking result – something lacking in other recent DnB releases. By doing this the duo have really shown what they are made of, making this an excellent specimen of DnB meets pop.

There must be something in the water over at Viper Recordings HQ as Carry Me On comes amidst a storm of exciting new releases from the label, with Matrix & Futurebound and Shock One being just two examples of artists already seeing success this year for their fantastic productions. Safe to say, Carry Me On looks set to continue the labels unstoppable rise.
