This remix of
Krewella’s rave inducing EDM smash, Alive,
is a well grafted slab of remixing precision. Ennui has left the vocals of the
original relatively untouched, instead concentrating on production as he
summons an introduction of tenacious piano notes that is only allowed to abate
in time to unleash a landslide of riotous bass. This is a ferocious drop, littered with deviations that snake through the rough and uncompromising blast.
Ennui clearly
not only has a firm grasp of how to go about creating a remix, but also has a
confident and detailed understanding of the original track. After squeezing as
much power as possible out of the original, he crams it with his own intense
style to create this larger than life remix.
