Tinchy Stryder – Help Me

Tinchy is back! Help me is the fourth single from his upcoming single, Full Tank. The previous singles for Full Tank were a mix of styles. Spaceship was quite a modernized re-boot of the previous successful collaboration between Dappy and Tinchy, while Off the Record was an electro-house production via Burns and Calvin Harris that was a great auto-tuned club banger. These huge singles were then followed by Bright Lights, which was an epic and positive collaboration with singer Pixie Lott. Help Me, however, dares to be better than the other singles from the album.
Help Me is a positive, beat embodied, dynamite of a track. Tinchy raps in his usual manner, but the beat is so well sculpted to suit his rapping that it conjures a whole new level of lyrical skill and execution in the star. The vocals of the chorus are unbelievable. The perfection is the result of sculpting the vocals into a superior, more even chorus, rather than simply exaggerating it.  Tinchy also adds a chant to the female chorus. The vocals are given technical manipulation near the end, which instead of covering up weaknesses, actually increases the unity of the vocals with the rest of the track.
The video also works strongly with the overall experience the track delivers and completes the peaceful vibe. It does summon a slight memory of In My System in places, but there is no doubt that Help Me leap frogs In My System in terms of adept development. The production is an Ibiza-Bajan styled beast with a soulful yet energizing quality. During the rap, the beats branch into a more individual design with a possible Spaceship inspired production, leading to robotic bleeping beat.
Help Me demonstrates vocal, rapping and production deftness. The fact that Tinchy can still manufacture such prolific high quality music, such as Off the Record and Bright Lights never mind tunes like Help Me, is a pure wonderment. Tinchy has surpassed himself and Help Me is truly superb, completely faultless, and leaves no doubt that Tinchy’s last album will be one to remember forever.

  1. Actually it's weird that I'm finding the beats similar to Spaceship and the video meanwhile is similar to No Regrets by Dappy. Or maybe it's just that I still remember much more Tinchy for Number One wherein there's Dappy on it lol. Anyway I think this song is okay. But the review u did is more okay. ^_^
