David Jones - Darky

David Jones is an electro-house producer and in 2012 he received the best remixer award in the Beatport music awards. Darky is the next hyper-catchy club smash to hit the dance floors, thanks to the skills of Jones. The two dimensional stomper uses an excellent fusion of two primary sounds to destroy the boundaries of usual electro-house music and generate twice the amount of club mayhem. The first sound is a high dance-house stylized melody that is repeated through a lot of the song. The production then advances into a rougher deep-house sub destroyer. The first melody, though used in other songs before, is employed as a prominent tool rather than a minor attachment to other synths, giving a highly unexampled and revitalized affection.
The intro is also well composed with a wide spectrum of sounds that effortlessly fuse into the primary parts of the tune. Some YouTube users exclaimed that the track was “BOMB” and “AMAZING!!”, while others were more cynical and criticised it for not being very original and sounding like material made by Nicky Romero, in particular his track, Tolouse. On inspection Tulouse does share a few tangible similarities, but not enough to make claims of plagiarism, as the tracks hold multiple differences.
A radio edit is sure to change the song from excellent to ‘next level’ as a rapid hit of amazing sounds packed into roughly three minutes would be a heavenly blend of intense, uninterrupted perfection. It is acutely suitable for this time of year with Ibiza and other party locations in full swing, but of course, Darky is suitable for anytime, as who would not enjoy this shinning gem of a track?

  1. 2:15 - 2:45 is that part to put my anticipations on for this track! It's so good! So if there's the "would-be" radio edit, I hope it quickly would start to that part. :)
