Taio Cruz – There She Goes
There She Goes is the third single taken from TY.O and follows the success of singles, Troublemaker and Hangover. It has been produced by Red One who has been behind hits from Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Alexandra Burke, Akon, Kelly Rowland and Nicki Minaj, just to name a few and Taio no doubt hopes the Moroccan-Swedish producer can add his magic touch to create a global hit for the singer. Red One has applied his recognisable, ultra-catchy and surprisingly diverse beats to Taio’s versatile vocals, to create this club smash.
The lyrics may be slightly doubtable with Taio’s descriptive skills describing the girl similar to hurricanes, stars and guitars but generally the singer’s vocals work seamlessly with the synths to make a blend of electro pop pleasure. The endlessly catchy cries of “ooohowoooh” maybe simple but are very much effective. This chorus theme follows a similar formula to Troublemaker but in a very different and brilliant way that gives it a high amount of playability.
The video contains seemingly mandatory and rather predictable content of fast cars and hot women but an overcomplicated video does not seem necessary due to the tune’s addictive nature. The ring of fire, near the end of the video, is rather impressive, though the bikers are slightly unnecessary. The editing of the video overall, however, is smooth and works with the song perfectly.
Even though some people might claim it to be not particularly original, the song is a great pop tune and is arguably one of the Rokstarr’s best to date. Taio’s next single will be World In Our Hands, apart from in the U.S. where the next single will be Fast Car.
Rating: 10/10

  1. Brilliant reviews for a song which is also brilliant! I certainly agree with how u find the "oh oh" parts. Most listeners really find it rather stupid and not creative. But it really makes the song more catchy right? With regards to the video, my most favorite scene would also be that one with the ring of fire you're calling. I think the lyrics of the song just fit with the depictions in the video so yes, I also agree then that the video need not to be overdone. Actually in my own view, it's one of his best videos, production-wise. Again thanks for such a wonderful review for this great track. Really enjoying your entries so far. :)
