Neon Jungle - Trouble

When we saw the name Neon Jungle, we just had to check them out. We were not disappointed. As the name suggests they are a fun, raw and extremely energetic bunch with more attitude than other girl groups such as the Saturdays or Little Mix. They also don’t care for the soft dance beats frequented by their rivals but instead take up an easy-going anarchic electronic production. The cutting defiant vocals of the group mean that the electronic storm can breathe to full extent without drowning them out, and this is pivotal in giving Trouble that hectic party atmosphere.

The lyrics in the chorus, though satisfying, are at times rather conventional. During the verse, however, the group redeem themselves and open their wings a bit more. But this song isn’t meant to be a deep meaningful work. It’s meant to be a light-hearted house-party Friday night tune, and that is exactly what it is. This sharp new girl group seem to have pressed all the right buttons, while still maintaining a level of spontaneity, which in turn makes for a very liberated performance.
