Invaders of Nine – Move the World EP
Released: 9th
September 2013
Move Your Body features explosive synths, sturdy
drumbeat and a powerful hook, fused together to create a crisp soundscape,
coming first class to our ears. It starts with the duo’s characteristic power
guzzling alien melody, before quickly progressing into a well-toned underlying
synth, framed by the vocals of Angie Brown. The climax is a nicely structured
piece, which wastes little time, as it makes way for the bass drone that
follows.
For the final track on the EP, Enigma, the duo take a slower and more deliberate approach, forging a gradual and dramatic introduction with heavy swinging synth blows. When the drop does come, it flies upon a flurry of righteous violin strings and a drone of fast optimistic basslines.
Conclusion
Invaders of
Nine are the next big thing in DnB and Move
the World is the next release ahead of their forthcoming debut album, Life Without Sound.
Turn My World Around jumps straight in with a heavy note before
rapidly snow balling into a more substantial and raunchy baseline complimented
by an epic synthetic melody. The construction of the whole song makes listening
a pure joy. Even the intermediate section sounds like a drop, as the feisty
production relentlessly rolls on. The vocals smoothly meander through the song
providing extra power to the track before it finally, eloquently, fades back
into the darkness at the end.
Solar Flare is a very tightly and intricately
focused ball of tumultuous drumstep, punctuated by a resonant eerie piano to
produce a haunting and memorable melody infrastructure. During the break it
also takes a pleasant little detour, forming a second drop, different to the
previous one.
For the final track on the EP, Enigma, the duo take a slower and more deliberate approach, forging a gradual and dramatic introduction with heavy swinging synth blows. When the drop does come, it flies upon a flurry of righteous violin strings and a drone of fast optimistic basslines.
Conclusion
The delivery
from Invaders of Nine on this EP is stunning. The tracks provide us with a display
of soaring productions that efficiently dispatch an array of slick synths and breathtaking
baselines. The mind piercing qualities of Invaders of Nine’s music are matched only
by the original and unconventional patterns that riddle their work, and this is
true no more so than in this spectacular EP.
Invaders of
Nine seem to be getting better and better, with their musical velocity now reaching
fever pitch, it only seems a matter of time before they launch themselves into
the upper ranks of the DnB scene.
