Flo Rida ft Pitbull - Can't Believe It
“Damn that
white girl got some ass” – that’s the line which pretty much sums up Flo Rida’s
new song and the accompanying music video. In fact, if it weren’t for
‘insightful’ lyrics like that, this song may not have been too bad. The rapper
rides the rhythm of the song very well and there are some amusing rhymes in
there as well. Unfortunately, nuggets of Flo’s wisdom like “black girl got an
ass it ain’t a secret”, together with the tasteless video, just make this a car
crash.
The video is appallingly distasteful and more than a little tacky, bombarding the viewer with a non-stop wave of bloated behinds flying from all directions to form a nauseating congealment across the screen. Flo Rida should also be made aware that after seeing the disturbing visuals at 1:01, I will never be able to eat an ice-cream cone again.
It should be made clear though, this article has not been written by some biased fool who has a personal vendetta to slander everything Flo Rida produces. On the contrary, I am actually quite a big fan of his songs. But this? I think it’s beneath him. He has a lot more talent than this. I’m also more than a little shocked that Infinity Ink let him sample their track. Having said that, the best thing this song has done is to remind us how good Infinity is.
At least Flo Rida got one thing right: yes, after listening to this, we Can’t Believe It.
